Bike Kills
Well here comes another story from the good old VA....
I was out with my better half driving to a few local Nissan dealerships to see if we could spot a 350Z (no such luck). Anyway the first kill was on 64 west going toward Hampton. A bike was riding my tail. He was riding to my left and his BRIGHT headlight was reflecting in my eyes from my sideview mirror
To make matters worse the car in front of me was driving like he was my long lost enemy. Because he was driving at about 50 mph in the FAST lane
So I am mad X 2. Well believe it or not after 2 or 3 minutes of this slow driving, the idiot speeds up to about 70 mph. Well I still cannot pass b/c there are cars to the right of me. The guy on the bike is behind me STILL shinning the light in my eyes as if I can turbo boost over the car in front of me to get out of his way. The idiot in the car slows down again and slowly passes the car on the right. FINALLY, the I get a chance to jump to the right lane and go around the idiot in the car. Well the bike is RIGHT on my tail. Okay so he wants to play FINE!!I downshift to third and FLOOR it... the bike stays about a car length behind then I sihft to fourth and that DARN LIGHT gets dimmer and dimmer
I slow down and he goes by in a blaze of glory
As he passed I see he had a passenger...
it was a Yamaha something, I am not a big bike fan so I have NO idea what it was exactly.
Okay the second kill was from a stop. I see this upstanding individual on a Harley making LOTS and LOTS of noise taking of fast from stop light to stop light. Well as luck would have it I get beside him at one light. I look over and he is decked out in his expensive leather outfit
Well the other light turns yellow so I start to rev my engine. He hears it and starts to gas his own throttle. Our light turns green and I take off without a hitch and by the time I am in third he has faded back into traffic. At the next light he somehow is behind another car and his bike is no longer the LOUD vehicle of transportation it once was

A couple - o - comments here...
First off, the brights on thing is something a lot of riders do (I don't anymore...) to increase their visibility. You may not realize how many drivers just don't see bikes, and that can be a very dangerous thing. His brights weren't to get you to move over, or annoy you, but just to make sure that you (and every other driver on the road) knew that he was there and hopefully not hit him.
Also, most bikes don't race cars at all - it's not much of a challenge normally. This goes for both of your encounters. The Harley riding guy was probably just screwing with you trying to get you to race (I do this sometimes with ricers just for fun
). Even slow hogs can outrun a car if they want to from a standing start - simple power to weight, bikes have it. And the Yammy on the highway probably didn't even realize you were annoyed with him, since he had a pillion, it's VERY unlikely he was gonna run with you.
Either way, as long as you're having fun, who cares? ALso, what were you driving?

Anyways, the bike did what he intended to do, which was for you to notice him.

You have a built motor?
..but soon my friend soon
As for the bike I see the points both integrate and ejis are making..but he was WAAAY to close to my rear bumber...so I had to let him lose
a nice brake check should teach him a lesson... if not that, just a tap of the brakes - only enough to activate the actual brake lamps (just enough to scare him without actually checking your brakes)
