Default Blew 3rd Gear!!

Sat. night I blew 3rd gear out of my S. I was out at the strip with my g/f, racing around being pretty hard on the car. I raced a ton of people, but I keep racing a 94 eagel talon tsi awd. He had ton 's of mods. Frontmount,big turbo,downpipe back,BOV,fuel system,boost control. Any ways, on the gas hard with the NOS shifted to 3rd caught it right at 6400rpm and at about 7600rpm it blew too bits. I got it home, almost didn't make it, but she's done for good now. I think I going to look into a spoons tranny? not sure yet.

If any one didn't know I have Comptech SC,header back, rear end,upper strut, NX express kit(dry),TODA flywheel,ACT HD,neuspeed lower tie bars, denso plugs, and was runing KLOTZ racing gas 113oct.


O, I did pull the talon but was done for that night.

OUCH! i feel for you man!!!

do you think the spoons tranny will be better? i mean, are there stronger trannys out there that WON'T snap like our's? thanks man and the best of luck to you!!!

That sucks man. The spoon tranny should take all sorts of abuse! Hey, at least I can say, nice final-kill on the modded Talon!

That sucks

How much hp can the stock fuel system on an S2000 hold? Seems like you would have to do some fuel mods by now since you're running a dry shot and a supercharger. I didn't see any listed.

I would hope that the spoon's tranny is stronger, it's big bucks. NO, I have the fuel system that came with my SC kit - fuel line,press.regulatore,in tank pump. I am running a dry 35 or 50 or somewere in there shot. All I know is it's the smallest jet. I don't know about how much HP the stock fuel system can suport? I would like too know how much the comptech one can support. I am planning on getting new bigger injecters soon after the tranny fix crap. To let everone know I wasn't racing from the light it was from a roll. I only beat the talon by a 1/4 car length. It was VERY,VERY fast and loud (no cat), I couldn't hear my car till 3rd got blown out . I heard from one guy at N.O.S. that are car adjust's it's fuel by intake press. Then I heard from another "DONT PUT NOS ON A SC S2000" I was like "Too Late". I would suggest anyone how is putting any No2 on there SC S2000 too try to get a little thicker headgasket, too drop the compression a tiny bit. Might help? I'm going to try. It is alot faster with the No2 than without but unless your trying to beat the car into the ground or spank real fast cars I wouldn't do it!

Any one sell the tranny on the forum? How much $? The only place I found one was J's racing.

Who did the work on your car? It doesn't sound like you did since you don't even know what size pill your running.

You are funny! My dad's friend did all my work.In About two days. I know it's the smallest NX express kit jet(dry). I know what every thing does, I just have NO tools. You do I beat. Right? Having a US car and all. J/k. I got nothing for you unless you want to race and skip 3rd with me but wait! Never mind you have a TQ monster, I would blow 4th out trying too keep up with you.
