Default BMW 330i

Ok on my way home at about 1am at night. I get to a light where I need to make a left turn onto a small street. (the type with one lane for both sides of traffic) that you cant pass the cars in front of you on. This guys sitting at the light when I arrive but there are two lanes to make the left turn that eventually merge together. I didn

I guess I should also mention the road was flat as a wall and straight as an arrow. I would've seen oncoming traffic long before it got near.

Well, the opposite lane is perfectly legal and game while passing.... (unless there is a solid line)



BUT... going 100+ on a street just to "show up" a slower car is dumb and dangerous and plain stupid... Be careful out there

I'm sure it was a legal pass, from what he explained. Everyone does it when needed. It's not something stupid as long as you're careful about it and give yourself enough time to pass. He said the road ahead was visible and wasn't around any bends or hills.

Um, no. I'm sure it was illegal. Think about it. Two lanes just merged into one. D'ya think the center lines continued right there allowing passing? Doubt it.

Driving with a chip on your shoulder will lead you astray. For the record -- he beat you (to the merge)!
