Boxter S gets a wake up
Ok so im heading down the highway in the fast lane, going about 75...when i see a red porsche coming up behind pretty fast, so i do a gentle 6th gear pull up to 90 to let him know i would play. I slow back down and he keeps coming slowly...then right as he is about to pass me i drop it into 3rd going 75 and i stay next to him and then when i hit redline, and shift i pull about 2 feet on him, we went up to about 110 before letting off. I finished with about 4 to 5 feet in front of him.
Things you should know.
Ima 00' with 70,000 miles, no spare tire, tools, gutted trunk, top was up, half a tank, gutted air box, with carbon fiber snorkal.
He had his top down, appeared to be maybe a 04 or so......had a passenger and was stock other than that i would think.
I didnt destroy him by any means, but it felt good pulling ona 50,000 dollar car slowly when mine only cost me 16,000
It also felt great with the look of his chicks face as a honda was pulling his ass slowly but surely.
Im sure he would get me up top eventually, but thats not the point folks!
Oh ps he was a red boxter s

Nice kill! I think we all know exactly what that "look" the passenger gave you looks like. The best is when they catch you at a light and ask, "What's in that thing???" "Just a little 4 cylinder..."
If you're lucky you'll get to see a tear

GOOD KILL!!!! I remember my first Boxter experience...
When I owned my 244whp 5.0 I saw a boxter come up behind me. I was going to rape him. I matched his speed as he moved to pass. The driver looked at me like I was a 'tard. I smiled back confident that I would own him. He took the exit and got on an over-pass and I went on, thinking "pussy little prick in his $$$ slow ass car". It was when he moved about 50' to my right and onto the overpass that I learned something. Boxters and 911 Carrera TT's have VERY SIMILAR front ends. The bi-level wing kinda spelled things out for me. I felt hurt

Your correct, if it were a 07 or so then it would have been a different story for sure. However the older ones, its really a drivers battle, and in my case...i had no passenger, top up (his down) BIG DIFFERENCE IN SPEED! and a little more weight reduction. IT was simple numbers
I don't care if the Boxter is "entry" level or not. An S2000 should not be able to man-handle it. That is like a Tiburon GT taking out a base vette. I think Porsche took a black eye with the Boxter and always have felt that way. It is just under-powered for what you get and it's not like it handles like an Elise or something (although it does handle well).
