Takeoff, and first to second, sounded nice but the second to third shift sounded like ass. Almost sounded just like this Acura LS, with a huge coffee can exhaust that tried to race me last night. The best thing was that I didn't even hit VTEC in any gear and still won easily. The look on his face when we shut down was priceless though...he actually thought he kept up pretty well with an S2000.

After watching the second clip I have to ask...is the SS even trying? I can't even hear the car beginning to try. Were the guys that were videotaping just trying to film a Cobra? I know the SS should lose if both are stock but not by that much.

 

The exhaust tone will not change from gear to gear, it will sound the same at the same RPM in any gear?

 

No the tone sounded nice. I agree. I was referring to the raspy choking noise the exhaust made right when he shifted in the first clip. Mustang exhaust ALWAYS sounds great, especially Saleen's.

 

Yea, they do have alot of rasp to them, I like it, some don't to me it sounds like a tund F1 car!!! But you have to admit he granny shifted and tore that LS1 a new A-Hole!!!

 

Sweet video, but isn't that a pretty unfair race? Or were they just trying to show how much faster an 03 Cobra is than an LS1?

Yea as he should with a blower underthere , he should try the competition a Z06... Oh, and he didnt really "walk" him as u say, the LS1 keeps up pretty well for those little mods...Peace
