I had just started going from a light, casually... A dark blue CLK 55 AMG with some guy pulls up next to me at about 20 mph and suddenly slows down and the guy looks at me. I drop it into first with the clutch still pushed in and rev up to around 6k, where he punches it and I drop the clutch right after. I passed him into 2nd and had a 1 1/2 car lead when I shut down at about 85 mph. Pretty nice car


BTW, this was around a 2002 (not the latest body style)

 

Unlikely that the CLK was trying all-out:

Stock S vs CLK 55 AMG... and S wins...

 

The CLK driver was either driving a non-amg rebadged as AMG, or he simply wasn't trying.

Yeah. A driver who was not trying gives me a hard ass look, and punches it, and goes 90 in a 40 and makes a u-turn to go back to where he was headed. You know what, just save me the typing, and stop.
