You guys kill me.

Domestic V8 drivers are the biggest liars on the planet when it comes to stock/modded (and EVO owners are next in line), so why would I visit ls2gto.com?

Here's what the experts had to say...

13.3 @ 105.9: Motor Trend, Power Trip
13.3 @ 107: Car and Driver, 21st Century Muscle Cars
13.7 @ 103.9: Road & Track, Rivals

Beyond this, I've smoked every one I've ever raced on the street, 'cause they don't hook worth crap. The last one I hammered had 380 to the wheels, while I put down 277 (at the time).

Fanboi's; play somewhere else, like where people can't read.
lmfao... i prefer not to magazine race. do you believe all of the times you read in magazines?

i go by the timeslips i've seen... actual proof. not what some bs magazine got (in some cases they actually don't even run the car at a track, it's done with a stop watch and a radar gun).

a guy recently drove a bone stock c6 zo6 to a 10.9 at almost 130mph. what do magazines get with them? hell, the avg joe runs better than what the mags get.

so gtfo boi.

how about we just say..............these are ALL fast cars and anything is capable on the streets eh?

There is too much love for our cars and too much pride to admit defeat.

im trying to figure out why you are using the sample space of three magazines to judge the performance of a car. I would rather have a much larger sample space, that shows the broad range of what a car can do in the consumers hand, hence a place like S2KI.com, that has stickied on the top of this forum, "Stock or close to stock 1/4mile times." We can infer with your thought process, that the moderator of this forums should in fact delete that stickied thread on top of this section, and put in place nothing but motortrend and car and driver articles then right?

Lets cut the BS

LS1 GTO mid 13 capable, but most people run low 14's
LS2 GTO high 12 capable, most people run mid-high 13's
S2K mid 13 capable, most people run low 14's

How does that sound for meeting you in the middle?

kinda funny how dood said he knew alot about GTO's and then posts that he wasnt sure if it was a 5.0 or 6.0 when there are 5.7's and 6.0's...

And either way.........6.0's would rock da world of a stock S2000
um... if you`re talking about me

in the beginning of the post i put GTO(5.0 or 6.0?)
where did i say i knew alot about GTOs?

Yes, I believe all the times I see in magazines.

The three magazines I mentioned use Vericom equipment, which is the best in the business, and also used by the NHRA as a back-up fail-safe because of its accuracy.

The 10.9 time is suspect at a minimum, as well as the 1.7 60', so no, I don't believe the time. Even if I did, the guy is WAY below sea-level, and his corrected time is 11.1. "Ranger" is the best driver on the entire site and he ran an 11.2, which is still unbelievable for a stock car with stock run-flats. A C6 Z06 is a low 11's car at absolute best (in stock form).

No, average Joe's don't run better than "what the mags get", and if you think they do, you need to read more.

Because they are unbiased (with regards to performance numbers) professionals, not fanboi's that will lie about the performance of their car in a split second.

I agree, to a point.

For proof of what a car should probably run? Yes. However, no one can tell you what your own car can do in your own hands, but they can certainly tell you what it can't run.

I still think you're low on your numbers, as no LS1 GTO will run a 13.5, no LS2 GTO will run a 12.9, and no S2K will run a 13.5 in STOCK form with STOCK tires.

Forgive me, I care nothing for the middle, only for the facts.

You mean dozens of LIARS with something to prove, vs professionals?

Only an idiot would laugh at that. BTW, I think I hear your village callin' .
