Comptech AP1 vs 08 350Z
Had some friendly runs with an 08 350Z. AP1 was top down running testpipe, Comptech AC @ 3psi and a slipping clutch. 08 350z was running Amuse Ti exhaust ($$), Y-pipes, testpipe and passenger.
Lined up about 8 times with only 3 clean runs:
First run was from 60-150kmph. Started out even and the Comptech started to walk away @ 130.
Second run was from 90-150kmph. The Z instantly started to inch away and ended up about a car length ahead.
Third run was uphill from 60-180. Dead even until 160 and the Comptech slowly started to pull away.
From a stop i basically got destroyed just sitting there burning my clutch. (Clutch was all used up about a week before destroying an E46
).
I'm positive the Comptech could have taken the Z out if it was running the 5psi and a new clutch. Gotta stop procrastinating and tighten up that belt.
Overall, i have a new found respect for the new 350z's. Stock for stock i would pull easily on my buddy's previous gen Z with both drivers being equal. The new Z's are a lot quicker and seemed as though it had gears that go on forever...

hahaha...yeah lame excuses but i was busy cruising top down.
I was going to do everything at once since i have a 10psi pulley but the weather has been crappy this week so i ended up tightening the belt. I'll be ordering injectors and a clutch sometime this week and should have everything running properly by end of the month.
