Default cop vs. s2000

Ok guys, all this cop car talking has got me thinking, how do our s2000's (stock or slightly mod'ed) compair to the regular cop cars, you know the crown vic's or the caprice. This is meant one on one no radios just car vs. car. I know it's kinda of a dumb question but I was just wondering

i would say that in a straight line the cop car will do better at top speeds BUT if you're in the twisties you'd win

a cop car is nothing more than a 4.6l with an oil cooler, tranny coller, and better suspension

The regular cop cars are slow. Stock cars with a ton fo extra weight, terrible Cd thanks to light bars and grills, and heavy duty radiators for extended rough use, mabe a bit more.

You'd dust one. Those things get down the strip in 16-17 seconds.

From what I've read the Crown Vics are chosen for meeting the 120mph criteria. Seems like you could dust them above that.

Also, the S2000 isn't known for exploding when getting rear-ended...

We smoke them. They use to have an event called QUALCOM down ehre in San Diego its an 1/8 mile track. The local PD's sponserd it along with RACELEGAL.COM I use to always see this Berlina there racing the CHP cars and the regular street cop cars. By the end of the 1/8th mile track the S was about 2 cars in front of the street cop car and going and about 1 car in front of the chp steady. Never seen full quarter mile runs though against a cop car.

Kind regards,
Joe

Our S2000's smoke them. I had a 96 police interceptor. I had it to 140 once, but it takes a while. I don't know about 1/4 times or 0-60 times, but I lost a small race to a 95 acura legend. 1 car length by 75. My father in law is a cop, and ALL their cars are relatively slow. Even the Camaro SS and the Rustang GT cop cars couldn't handle an S2000. At that point, thats where the radios come into play. Unless you hide VERY well, the motorola will getcha.

This is not a good line of speculation... There's some dumbass who's going to read this and give it a try.

I live by a simple rule, if the lights are flashin I'm a stop'n. So it doesn't matter who's faster.

1. They have guns.
2. They have radio's.
3. They have lots of people to respond to those radio's.
4. Spike strips are nasty.
5. They have guns.
