I don't know if you guys will be interested in this or not. I'm not trying to make any kind of point, it's just a street race that went bad. If it doesn't work click on OUR LOSS about Kory.

Thats a horribly sad story...it's a shame to see anyone die...and there is nothing you can ever do to deserve death (except IMO kill another), but I feel even worse that his g/f was present. Thats why I never do any sort of "spirited" driving with my g/f in the car because I could never live with killing her if something happened. I feel for this family and hers. It's unfortunate.

Wouldn't even have known that was a camaro except the front of the car pic.

Oh and thank God for that big tree, otherwise it looks like he may have driven into someone's home, thus destroying hte home and possibly killing more.

RIP.

I imagine the driver didn't want to see that tree. But you're right SoFlaNSX. So much damage. I was wondering how he hit at such high speed, that twisted level of wreck is a little rare, until the pics showed the short straight path on slick grass. I can almost see him swerving to avoid an on-coming car.

Penforhire, I posted this in car talk and it was suggested that I post it here also, so I did.

SoFlaNSX, he did go into someones home but he might have gone almost through it if the tree hadn't been there to slow him down.

Stories you hear on a daily basis... and impact is loss...

...but pictures that TELL a Story...

...damn, my stomach is still churning.

I second the lack of spirited driving with my gf in the car. Once upon a time, new s2k owner immaturity would get me in trouble with her, and I could never understand, why? I'm always in complete control, I say. ...but yet, pictures like these allow one to realize... once again, that ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN!!. We use the quote loosely when discussing unexpected victories or losses, but fail to realize that it can run much deeper.

Today, I too will could never bare to be responsible for the life of someone close to me. ...or even that of a complete stranger for that matter...

...the sad part...

...another day will pass...another story will be forgotten... and another will be made!

(this is the THIRD tragic story I've heard today! Every once and a while... you have to open your eyes to the signs around you)

At the blink of an eye, or a bump in the road, lives can be shattered! I am a culprit of street racing...I know it's wrong, especially because it could greatly effect the life of someone else. I feel too confident sometimes, and I know all of you feel that way sometimes too. But there are freak incidents, imagine a kid running out in front or a family of four in a Kia pulling out into traffic while you are hauling at 120 mph. WOW! We all need to be a little more aware and a little more carefull!

I just read a story today... a family in Birmingham, MI., gave their kid a brand new Camero SS for his 16th birthday. The first day... first TIME taking it out on his own... he was doing 80mph on a 25mph residential street, when a elderly couple unexpectingly pulled out in front of him... He lived.

...they did not.

16yrs old and he is being tried as an adult for manslaughter...

...first time driving, last time driving... last time enjoying life for what it is...

(What the HELL is going on with this flooding the news around us, or at least MYSELF!!? ...like I said before, I can't count the number of times I was SO close to being in the same boat. Living is learning, Hindsight is 20/20... etc. All great quotes, but don't do a damn bit of good once your life has ended... )
