I owned a 2001 S2000 and now own a 2007 MS3. The 3 is faster stock for stock. Simple mods on the MS3 get huge gains. A CAI nets 20hp to the wheels and about 2more MPG and thats no BS at all. A TBE will get you over 20 to the wheels as well.

The MS3 just loves mods as it runs rich as hell. Our downfall is a fuel system that can't handle much over 300hp but word is there is now an aftermarket one available. Soon a ECU will be there as well and tuning will be done. The potential of the MS3 is just now being touched. As posted there is a guy with very few mods hitting 12's with slicks and a 1.8 20. The only big mod he has is an MBC running 17psi. Stock we run 15 so ah yah. To get gains like that on the S2000 you need to dump about 5k for an SC or Turbo setup. This is one of the things I disliked about the S2000. People charged a fortune for mods for the car. I remember when the 4.77's were very expensive until someone realised they were nothing but stock gears from Mazda I believe

I loved my S2000 (but will not miss the wind noise) but the MS3 is more fun for me.

I dunno about ms3 being faster stock for stock like you said they make a great amount of power with bolt ons in which he has bolt on yet everyone was able to keep up and me even pull once but i agree they will have alot of potential; as more parts come out.

I have intake, exhaust, tp= 6hp MS3 intake supposbly=20hp and we were even when we race i dont see how a stock one would beat a regular s2k mayb in a roll but u doubt from a dig with a good driver.

Like i said which is faster MS6 or MS3
