Default CTSC ap2 w/ gears vs e30 swapped 325i

somewhere in noVA around 330 in the afternoon. I see this red e30 with the 325I badge poorly scraped off dropped on black looka like rota slipstreams lowered. It looks pretty clean and he's in the next lane pacing me. He pulled up to me at the light and ask if im "turbo" i say nope sc'ed and i was like "n/a" and he was like yup. 1st gear to 3rd we were dead even before we shut down because its fairfax and speed limit is like 35mph where i go to play tennis at and there strict as hell+ my car is effin loud. He asked me how much power i was making i told him like 280 whp and he said he was making the same. good encounter he drifts this U-turn then rolls out. He must have gone out of his way. It was a suprise those things can run like that might have had an s52 swap or something.

yeah, even the e36's were bulking up quite a bit

the e30s were so minimalistic they're pretty cool

i just came from an e46 m3 to my s2000, got it about 3-4 weeks ago

the m was fun, but maintence/insurance was out of hand

I know exactly how that is before i got the s2000 i was opting for the e46 m3 but it was just to much to maintain/play with.

Yeah, those E46 M3's are maintenance WHORES!! I have a buddy at work with a an 03 and he has that thing in for maintenance prolly every 3-4 months.. The bad thing is, when it goes in for maintenance he usually goes anywhere from 1 week to 2.5 weeks with a loaner bimmer.. That's German engineering for ya.. WAY TOO MUCH ENGINEERING for what it is.. Everything they do over there is over engineered. I am a maintenance man at my job and about 70% of the machines I work on are laced with European parts..
