yeah he probably isnt making 300 whp, but that rear engine car would probably do pretty good from a dig.
The Caymen is a mid-engined car.

Shoulda proof read.

The Caymen is a mid-engined car. That and P-Cars aren't really drag cars like the S2K
S2000 is a drag car? Maybe F/I S2000.

Sorry.

nice kill. but i doubt you're making 300whp with your mods...people are making slightly below 300 with 7psi, tuned, with header/testpipe/70mm single exhaust. time for me to find a cayman S to embarass...i always thought they were faster...never really did any research on them!
It depends on a few things, like climate conditions and elevation location. Here is Seattle area at Sea level I have a circle of friends that ran the early proto types of the Comptec system back in 00-01. Not to many supporting modifications for the S back then. The kit as you know was prone to over heating because of the lack of aftercooler, the mounting plate for the blower was also prone to cracking but thats a different story, the kit did make a hot 7psi rather then the current chilled 5 or 5.5. My friends were making between 280 -310whp on these cars stock back then, the differences in power were mostly contributed to the various temperatures in which the car was at during the time of the pull. To say I may not be making 300whp with my supporting mods might be premature, but then again I have not dyno'd the car. Only going by my judgment on how it feels and what i have pulled on. I think its safe to say that a ctsc Ap1 with Vafc2, 8 pound flywheel, TP and cat back would make 300 to the wheels in the right fair conditions. Its getting an Ap2 pulley here soon any way to maximize the current set up, that will aid in any doubt. Thats my story and I'm sticking to it.

Maybe 270ish.. but 300whp @ 5psi definitely is pushing it. Cooled or not, thats 20hp per PSI basically. Unless the cooler has over 100% cooling efficiency (i.e. Ice water). Either way, thats a nice kill. I would love to run one of those... but they prob won't give me the time of day
