Default encounter with 350z

so my neighbor has a beautiful 350z, with dip dish rims. and I just finished installing my intake, and as i left my neighborhood he followed me out and was behind me, as we were both making a left. i noticed he was on my a$$. so on the turn i gunned in 2nd and he gunned. I was ahead of him by a car length because of the turn, amazing thing is he couldnt gain on me. i was almost positive hed pull on my like a mother. reached about 90 before i got over it. cant wait till we pull up next time side by side.

thanks for reading.

Why would he pull on you? I thought 350 and s2k are pretty much even.

Are you aware of the hydro-locking problem with that intake? A whole bunch of individuals have lunched their engines with it.

Yep the two cars are very even, though they feel different.

I just traded in my 04 350Z for an 03 S2000. My neigbor has a 350Z just like the one I traded in, and we went for a lil run. I could tell the S2000 could handle the curves better, and he had an advantage on the top end, of course I did have the roof down and another person in the passenger seat.

How about the injen cai? I have it installed right now. I never had a problem with the aem cai in my prelude during raining season.

tuck,
i don't think the injen has the hydrolocking problem.. putting on a bypass valve on the aem will solve the problem, but you lose whatever minimal gains you get from the cai though.. but you still have the nice growl that it gives the engine and still taking in more cold air than the stock..

I thought he was expecting it to pull because he got on it in second gear. Guess he was in his powerband.
