Default Ever raced a Solara?

Anyone here raced a toyota solara with the supercharger, or other bolt ons. I saw one the other day and it had a TRD exhaust and was lowered just curious how they did in the real world.

ehhh TRD solara's are still slow... always see them at the track with the sc and modified pullies, and the best they can do is high 14's. They are heavy, dont sweat it...

Don't know about that....first off let me say that I've never driven one and am relying on a magazine source (Autoweek and Car&Driver) but both mags had the full boat TRD w/supercharger car doing 60 in 5.2 - 5.6 seconds. And tripping the 1/4 in 14.0 flat. It's a torque monster mainly, that loses hp as the revves increase.

They don't handle worth a crap though...and yes they are HEAVY!

I sure know how that feels especially in my Saab
But with my boost controller, it helps out a bit, actually A LOT.

Yeah, I remember reding something about them a while back, I didn't think there was a lot of performamce gain with the SC. I thought it ran like 6.7-7.0 to 60 and high 14's or low 15's in the 1/4.

My bad guys..... It is actually 5.6 not 5.2 to 60mph. My apologies. But still, 5.6 isn't bad for a car this big and heavy!
