Evo 8 and M3 vs S2000 ?
My friend just got a 2004 Evo 8, all stock. He said he wants to run me from a stop and from a 45 mph roll just for kicks. I have a 2003 S2k with AEM v2 and Amuse exhaust. What will the outcome be?? The other guy just got an 03 M3 but sucks at shifting.. literally like 2 seconds between gears when hes racing. Do you think ill be able to take him from a stop?? I know the M3 takes the S2k but hes horrible at driving.. He obviously does not have the SMG.. just the 6 spd. Whats gonna happen with these 2 races??? We are not all racing at the same time, just 2 different people. Outcome??? Opinions??

how bout you just race them and find out?
The number of variables in these scenarios is staggering. You've got what sounds like (1) a non-broken in Evo8 and (2) an M3 with a bad driver against a slightly modified (though probably for little if any gains) S2000. Anything could happen here... which is all the more reason to race. Keep your top up!
If your friend with the M3 is that bad, you just never know, you may have a chance, but all drivers equal, you'll lose to both with your mods. Anyone seen the video of the crap talkin EVO kids get a run with an M3? I have no idea if this will work but try this... http://individual.utoronto.ca/JDean/M3vsEVO.wmv if it doesnt work, sorry, thread is here http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread.php?t...ighlight=evo+M3

Great vid, link works. I was wondering why the lead up time to the race was so long. But, without it, it's just another M3 pulling away. I think someone should edit in a clip at the end of the M3 driver casually reading the Wall Street Journal with his left hand, rowing through the gears, while the Evo fades away in the distance

If your friend with the EVO does not launch you have a chance. If he knows how to drive, and abuses his car a bit, watch out. Try taking him from a roll. On the other hand your other friend with the M3 has a big advantage from a roll, so try to launch on him.
