i was readin July 2003 Motortrend and they had the 0-60 times on these cars at 5.4 for the Skyline and 5.8 for the EVO. Maybe i missed something, but i couldve swore both cars were much faster than that...

EDIT- probably posted this in wrong forum. just realized it. sorry

I think the reason for those figures is the fact that the american journalists are not used to shifting with their left hands as they would have to do in those JDM cars..... With a good driver who is used to driving on the right side of the car and shifting with his left hand, mid to hig 4 second times are well with the capabilities of these cars

Yep, like they've said, both cars are well capable of 4's. Slow drivers in fast cars would still get slow times. For the Skyline GTR, switch the stock ECU and it'll get a huge bunch of horses more.

You can get a mid 14 in a stock EVO if you don't launch it. You see a lot of "weird" ranging times from the s2000, 03 Cobra, and some AWD cars because of the difficulty in launching.

I still haven't seen on better than 14.8 including a friend's mid 15 second run like 5 times in a row. I am positive there are much better. Just goes to show you that cars range in times.
