LOL, Lee sounds like your having some fun with your Evo We should have the downpipe and reflash in a few weeks, then I'll drop in the cams a month or so later. I will let you know how our kills go
Those mods will make your EVO drives like a different car. I feel my 4th gear pulls harder than 3rd when my EVO was stock.

Newest body Cobra. '03, '04?
He wasn't trying very hard...or he didn't downshift. That would be a 3rd gear pull for an 03+ Cobra which is a monster gear in that car. You might stand a chance from a dig but from a roll at those speeds with only a catback on your car you don't stand a chance. I trapped in the 112-114 mph in my 03 Cobra when it was bone stock but most aren't stock. They respond VERY WELL to just about any performance mod you can put on them and if they have pulley, chip and exhaust he would have been smoking the tires as he pulled away from you. Anything can happen on the street but just no that wouldn't be the outcome most of the time.

I had a similar encounter with my S...it was weird...a new body 03+ Cobra Convert. he was in front, he punched it, so did I...at 60-65, I was in 3rd...stayed even all throught 3rd AND 4th...then I hit 5th and he started pulling away hard...both of us had tops down...I was surprised...
Wasn't a Cobra or he wasn't trying. A blown S2000 wouldn't stand much of chance at those speeds let alone a NA one. A Cobra can run through 4th gear and be pulling hard past 140 mph if you think an S2000 can do that then I want some of what you are smoking.

Yeah, I bet. I have the Invidia catback and k&n drop in filter right now and those other mods coming real soon. I was thinking about the Injen intake with the upper IC piping, looks like a nice intake, but I have read too many stories of guys having problems with intakes

I cant wait to start the modding, we have put a lot of money into the S, now its the Evo's turn I plan on 340-350 whp..

A stock Evo doesn't have much of a chance running an 03 SVT Cobra ?

Did the Cobra downshift ?

Modded Evo's are impressive. I was looking up 1/4 mile times and came across 12.0 117-120 mph trap speeds for a modded Evo...

I would get the intercooler piping first, you will see no gains from your intake except for sound, unless you throw on a new turbo etc.
