With the Evo having the turboback exhaust, I think that is the biggest factor in the race with your mods. I played around with an old friends Evo 8 a while back when I had I/E, VAFC, and a clutch kit in my AP1. He had a a few bolt-ons..intake/turboback/MBC set at 22psi, and it was a pretty dam good run. When he was stock, my S with the same mods would pull pretty steadily on him from a roll. Once he got his mods it was much more competive...In 2nd he would get a small advantage right away and pull maybe a 1/2 a car right off the jump, but by the end of 2nd I would stop his initial pull. Into 3rd and I would be slowly creaping back up on him pulling about even by the end of 3rd. Into 4th I would just keep on inching by him and end up pulling about a full car length near the end of 4th gear. I think it would be close, with maybe him having a slight advantage. But anything can happen on the sreets, especially if you know how to whip your ride! Let us know how it ends up..

I'm down...the one I beat was a 2004 white EVO 8 with turboback exhaust. I pulled on to the highway in 3rd and he passed me...I caught up to him and we were maybe at about 45mph even when we slowed down. I heard him downshift, I down shifted into third and you better bet he had me at first...but once we hit about 110 I had about a car length on him. I have to ask him what his name is on the forums.
