Default EVO vs SRT

Lastnight I was cruzen around with my buddy in his 04 SRT-4 with a stage 1 and some other bolt-on mods, when we see an Evo with an exhaust drive by... So naturally (of coarse) we followed, thinking any evo with an exhaust would probaly be down for a little run...Well when we pull up next to him at a light we noticed it had those "shark fins" on the roof...After further discussion with the guy we discovered this wasn't an ordinary evo...this was the new MR...

Well long story short we get some open road and a chance to get a little run in and here's what happened...

My buddies SRT was on 19psi

nice, I did not think there was mutch difference in the 05 evo's, all 6 speed etc, just trim levels? btw the dodge is the best bang for the buck, I jsut don't like fwd for some reason.

Nice vid. I like Evo's, not a big SRT4 fan.

The MR has a larger turbo, 300hp and is 300lbs lighter than the regular Evo.

The MR does not have 300hp nor does it weigh 300lbs less than a regular EVO.

Also, the EVO that you and your friend raced is most likely a regular EVO with a $120 vortex generator(that shark fin looking thing on the rear roof). Why? Because the EVO in the video has the Enkei wheels which are the standard wheels for the regular EVOs, the MRs come with BBS wheels. I really doubt someone with a MR would downgrade on the stock wheels.

This is where I saw my info, I think I was wrong about the 300hp, but it does say larger turbo and 300lbs lighter.

I just watched that vid with no sound and it looked like your SRT buddy took off way before the Evo guy in the first race, and got spanked when they started at the same time..?

as stated above, the wheels are the normal EVO wheels...not to mention there is no MR badge on the trunk. Most people love that badge, and don't even think about taking that off.
