The race was great great fun, see i thought he would pull me up top because of the HP numbers. But i guess he wont because hes a truck still. Btw he is bone stock.

It is a misconception that Lightnings are slow up top. They have a healthy amount of power at all rpm's to combat that...but they do start slowing down around 120 mph when stock...

I have surprised many people on the h-way with my L.

LOL, yes I agree it is a misconception that people think they are slow up top, they are pretty quick. But we also get alot of that about the Evo, people think they have no top end. When we raced the Lightning I figured it would be close, but after the top of 4th I was already pulling ahead and going into 5th I could put a few cars on it. Definitely seems like it looses a lot of steam after 120 or so.

You drove very good! My friend's bone stock ran very consistently 13.9's at the track. Good kill!

At higher speeds aerodynamics have to come into play. I mean, lets face it, those things have the drag coefficient of as rolling refrigerator. Nice run, man. Love stomping those V8's.

Thanks for complimenting my driving...I am only 17 so im kindof proud of myself for that. Even speaking about the trucks aerodynamics, i still thought he would eat me up top. Like i said though, we raced to like 110 115 and i was inching...soo i guess i couldve not been scared about him coming back, but i still was thats why i shut down. That and having a 1000 dollar ticket + no license and prolly no S2k =not worth it But sometimes you have to shut up the people whoses V8 has gone to their head.

awwl, i bought my own at 20, and could have at 18 i guess... (good job+living at home=nice car heh).

My best race ever was over a bridge with a lightning. i was about 3 cars behind him and he dropped it at about 70mph, by 100 i was about 1 car behind him, 120 i was next to him, and 140 he was a couple cars behind. i was very surprised he didn't do better. he only had exhaust, and was very surprised he lost . GREAT race IMO.
intake & exhaust with the top down for the S
Tim

*edit*
no i wasn't spraying, he wouldn't have had a chance
