I was at a local go fast shop talking to a few of my friends and they had a 00 prelude in the shop with lowered compression a built top end and management mods pushing like 16 psi and they were getting about 360 to the wheels. You never know who is serious about building their stuff until you are side by side.

360 to the wheels in a FWD car? That must be fun to keep in a straight line

I'll save a few of you the task of posting to tell me the Prelude has traction control. Suffice it to say I hope he has upgraded to a Kaaz or Quaife.

most turbo'd preludes will hit low 14's...so pretty even.

unless as mentioned b4 the guy is pushing 16 psi...

Thanks, that's kinda what I thought. He was spinning his tires at will. It's was a sharp looking car. Not too much "rice," no wing, stickers, or much else. He is around all the time. I'm going to try to get an even match.

The consensus seems to be that at 6psi with SC or turbo, it will be a fairly close race. 8psi gets a bit tougher, but anything beyond that, if they can keep their tires from spinning, they'll win against a stock S2k.

Vtec does not a car make
I had a 00 Base lude, and the thing stock was so slow compared to my stock S.
Now after I slapped my I/H/E with pullys and Cams dialed in for low end torque. Well lets just say that off the line hybrid civics were not a problem
My motor blew to pieces... (Dialed the cams in to far) but thats another story

Anywho, the car was fast, but it wasnt anything to brag about. It was good for what it was.
