Default Few good runs

Got 3.5 encounters to post Been an exciting month, I have a few people tempt me once a day, but usually I keep it under wraps, as Im not really a fan of street racing, I just have a big ego

1)
White, Dodge Challenger R/T (5.7 Hemi, *fixed* 370hp/400TQ) with an "American Muscle" sticker on the back
JUST because of the sticker, and the dude in the cowboy hat driving, I HAD to give it a go, these things are PIGS, so I figured it would be good, we went from about 60-100 and I pulled about 1-2 cars on him, was the best feeling ever to put Mr. American Muscle in his place

2) Dodge Ram 2500HD Turbo Diesel
This dude was jackin' with me and pissing me off, i didnt really mean to run him, just tried to get away from him, something about this little car, trucks like to be dicks with them, I downshifted and gunned it, and he followed, I pulled away from him (like i thought i should have at the time) but he kept up relatively well, I was wondering what the hell was in that truck to be as fast as it was for how big it was. Later do i find out, its a 6.7 turbo diesel V8 with only 350hp, but 650ft/lb TQ thats ridiculous..

3) 5.7 Pontiac GTO w/ dumped exhaust (oh no another GTO story..)
This was tonight, I was otw back from Dallas to Norman, cruising at 85, and this black GTO pulls up, and gets infront of me, his rear bumper only had 1 exhaust exit but was debadged so i figured it was the 5.7, but his exhaust was dumped. We line up at cruising speed (85) and with my 4.77s i can only drop it to 5th, anyways i give it a little gas, to get him to start going, he punches it, i punch it and were DEAD even until i shift into 6th where he pulls about half a car and then SLOWLY starts crawling away, where I let off at about 120.. damn overdrive gears, I wanted him to slow down to 3rd/4th gear speeds, 1. because I hate going that fast, and 2. With the better "racing gears" i think i may have been able to pull on him

3.5) I had a 96 civic with exhaust and such try to line up next to me at about 55 on the freeway, i chuckled and kept it in 6th and he downshifted, he took off and i floored it in 6th, we stayed even and he had this face --> and then i laughed, dropped it to 4th and blew him away, his face then looked like ---> haha
It gave me a good laugh

I don't mean to be an ass, good runs but you do know for your statement number 1 that the R/t is actually 372 Horsepower not 400.

LS1 GTO's trap in the 105MPH range yet constantly get spanked by S2000's. Hmmm.

I agree but that's still a bit away from 400 HP, I would expect a r/t with basic bolts on doing 400 to the crank but yeah in the stock form they're definately in the 370s so saying 400 is giving the muscle car too much credit for what it is, especially because the srt-8 much more powerful and expensive upgraded model is 420 HP

oh is it? My mistake then, I thought R/T was 400 and the SRT-8 was 420, and apparently the SRT-8 wasnt much faster than the R/T? I dont remember where I thought I saw this, but good catch

Well in all honesty, this is the 2nd "close" GTO encounter ive had, and ppl here are constantly saying were beating them, i think its MORE of a stretch to say they are all lying.. and technically, i didnt win, i got walked on, slowly, but still walked on.
PLUS im not stock, (as much as it counts) my gears may have been hurting at that high of speeds though

I hate American muscle cars with a passion, I think they are like BIG MUSCLES with little talk but hmm I must say the srt-8 is a powerful car from stock, at my track the guys are running 13.1-13.3s on a norm STOCK and trapping WELL over 106 MPH + I raced a couple of the guys from roll, I beat 1 challenger srt-8 by only half a car, had i been even a little slower in shifting or REVd even a little higher than my 7100 optimal shift he surely would have beaten me. I must give the srt-8 the respect it deserves it it surely a fast car. The R/t lacks around 50 Horsepower from the srt-8 my best friends dad owns one it's a gorgeous car but performance wise kind of a joke, i walked him by SEVERAL car lengths don't even wana say how many but yeah the srt-8 trust me if you ever race one with a good driver you will know exactly what i'm talking about. Oh yes again i have beat 1 challenger srt-8 and 1 charger srt-8 both by only half a car if even that and I have lost to one challenger srt-8 by an entire car length and totally got demolished by a charger srt-8 with bolts on that was more like 2.5-3+ car lengths. Again man I pay respect where it is due.

Hmm the LS1 is kind of another close one man because the foker traps around 105 MPH but yeah a couple not so good drivers do trap 103 MPH. So I think with the proper mods in a s2k you could get the LS1 it would be hard but it's possible. Any way good race your gears killed it in top end lol fuk it was like at the traffic light you would have given him a run for sure. That's one of the things about the gearing man 85 MPH + for you that's gonna be bad bad news who cares not a lot of people start races from 80 MPH+ that guy was just being an idiot. I don't think you should have even wasted your gas on him not really worth the risk plus you were on a disadvantage at that speed with your gearing against a tough opponent in the first place. Any way good run.
