Friday about 3hrs after work decided to roll around for a bit after I had been babying the car all week after installing my SC the weekend before. I figured I would stretch her legs out but wanted to wait for the right moment.... on a resident street I see a clean 350 with 30 day tags and think nothing of it. Hit interstate put it in cruise mode, then in the rear view I see some HIDs. HMMMM 350Z ok lets see what happens... roll up on him drop it in 3rd (65mph), He drops in to 2nd, he punches it, I hit it. I mmediatley pull 1/2 car and slowly to a full car. Then slowed down heard him blow off (I was shocked because I thought it was N/A). He didnt seem very pleased. Ok, tonight (saturday) couple guys in a loud ass mustang try to hang with me on a twisty off ramp. HAHAHA!!! where did he go? Then get on a the straight road he starts to urge me on and i dropped it in 2nd(45mph) 3 beeps. we both hit at the same time... again 1/2 car and pulling hard. shut it down. he wasnt happy either... HAHA! gave him a went home excited... Its been a while since i have ran a mustang (DSM wont stay running long enough )

 

 

how do you know he had a TT and not a vortech or stillen SC? nice kill though. when i had just 4.77s and bolt ons, i pulled on a supercharged G35 from like a 40mph roll until about 70 he couldn't keep up. i was surprised, i had like 3 cars on him. i thought those things would haul ass on FI.

 

^^^Supercharged G35s and 350Zs really don't have that much hp. Normally they average about 315 to 330hp. Thats why alot of guys go Turbo instead. Like my setup I'm getting ready to have installed is a customer Turbonectics kit. Looking for 380-400hp @8.5lbs. Then in the near future built block @16.5lbs should be @ 600hp. The 4.77 gears in the S2k make that car beastly. I ran my buddy when he had his in and normally I started creeping away @ the top of 2nd and start walking away in 3rd. This time I was a lil bit in third before I started pulling.

You are right. The OP would have no idea if ti was TT or not. The vortech kit has a FMIC on the 350z and will make a blow off noise.

Mine doesn't have the weaksauce T60-1 that comes with the turbonetics kit.

Not on the stock block. The VQ rods normally got around 400hp&400tq. Mine will be very close to that. But with the built block it will be closer to 700hp since thats where the turbo maxes out @. GTK turbo FTW
