Default It Finally Happened !

Myself and this RSX owner have been "jawing" at each other for some weeks now at our parking lot. We took advantage of some decent weather yesterday (a dry day in Toronto) and finally went head to head.

I simply killed this RSX to my surprise.. I am not one to "really race" but this guy had been on me for quite some time now whenever we are in our work's parking lot. I gave him a dose of Vtec power he will never forget. The original post is here https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...4%20userid11648

Yesterday on a dry cold day, we did 2 races.. point to point, and then drove a little circuit of streets in his Northern Ontario locale. I had my shirt and tie on and was soon surrounded by these "young" baseball cap, ball shoes, hoodlum looking guys in their "sooped up civics" and whatever else they drove. They proceeded to laugh at my stock s2000 and my Armani wearing ways.. I could over hear one guy saying " who's this packee with the tie" .. along those young pathetic minds.. so I decided to keep tighted lip and let my vtec do the talking.. and boy did it ever !

From the start I launched at around 8000rpm and killed this RSX.. far easier than I thought ? I was really surprised at the speed I was able to reach by 2nd gear, by 4th gear I had to look over my right shoulder, back past my softop blind spot in the right corner of "fuzzie/blurry plastic window" to see the front nose of his car..

Then he wanted to do a rolling start onto this little circuit he and his civic boyz do regularly.. In my mind, I said this is going to be even easier.. Well he decided to cheat before the line and blast off, ahead of me, and into the first turn, I was slightly behind , I was already in vtec land in 1st and by 2nd gear I was sniffing his back bumper. I easily stayed with him on each turn (actually trying to learn them as I was in an area with streets I had no clue about ) and then the 2nd time around, he did not apex the exit properly and gave me a little inside, and I dove inside !! , luckily he braked and I could hear the screech and I expected a loud thump and crash into my left side.. THANK GOD IT DID NOT HAPPEN.. I blasted through the remaining corners surprinsingly not needing 5th gear except on the straight away..( due to the twisting nature of these subdivision streets) and drove outta there quickly..

I saw him this morning and he said "hey to me" ( I guess out of respect) .. Due to his friends rude comments, I made sure not to even glance in his direction and ran into work..

I can tell you that this will be my last " race" as I really don't want to take such risks again.. I did it, proved it to myself and now I have nothing more to prove..

Chalk up another kill for our "S's"

This goes out to all of "us S owners" across NA and our beloved cars we take pride in..

I hate RSX-S drivers that think they can hang with a good driver in an S2000. I know that isn't the case. How do I know? I used to own an RSX Type S, and have over 40 1/4 mile runs at the track in that car. My best was the equiv. of a 14.3x at sea level.

I know the S2000 is faster. No question.

I can understand the "jealousy" factor when it comes to RSX owners, lude and civic owners as they can't afford an s2000 and think some of us are rich and don't deserve driving our cars.. I experienced that again just past weekend with those idiots I burned.

I can't tell you how many guys in their civics and their ludes give me the dirtiest looks ! Over what ? I ended up telling this guy, with a sooped up Lude - "...with all the money you put into your lude, (skirts, interior, spoiler, sound system, rims, you could have a decent down payment on a s2000, so please , there is no need for rude or jealous comments..." He proceeded to give me finger and follow me for a while, being right up to my rear end.. So I decided to venture into the land of Vtec and had to make my S make another statement, and see his car become smaller, and smaller and smaller in my review mirror..

I'm quite sickened by those who envy us s2000 owners and think we are "rich folk" and don't deserve our cars.. IMO the s2000 is NOT a "rich man's car" at all, and that is what I tell them. If you work hard you can take your savings and get one..

I'm quite tired of always justifying my car and it's cost to people, whether it's at work or stopped at a light, or in a parking lot where there's always a few people standing next to it blocking my way in :-(

Oh well, the things we have to live with ?

Am I the only guy that thinks 8K is a little too high for street? I'd do 7000. How did your car smell afterwards?
