Finally... I get to run the EVOLUTION
Finally... I ran an EVO last night. It was around 1AM last night at about 17 degrees. As some already know, the S2000 w/CAI feels sick when it's this cold out. Anyway, the whole thing was seemingly meant to be.. As soon as began to merge onto 316N and make freeway speed, there she was white and waiting. I paced his tail all the way to the Intersate around 70mph.
As we merge into the Int, we began to float around 90mph until he moved over and moved door to door... We may have setlled down to 80 or so, anyhow I dropped to 4th and away we went. On this run the road was straight and he paced me mid-door to tail until about 125-30mph. He shut down and I qucikly ran 2-3 cars away noticing he was accepting defeat. I let off to give him a peace sign and he fell back, fell behind and moved to far outside lane. Again we are door to door..
This time I looked down and noticed my speed before shifting. 70mph. I waited for his engine scream this time and as soon as heard it, I smacked third, smacked fourth, smakced 5th and again I pulled .5 to 1 car length. One thing I should add on this run, I tried to run her no more than 87-8800RPM.
Final run, he moves back around to my passenger side and I'm pretty much not wanting to run again as we have gotten away with enough excessive speed driving. But, I'm winning so the adrenaline is clouding my judgement. This time I decide to load up first. I drop into third with my F20 screaming , wait for him to make a jump and then hit it(being cocky now). I never make up his jump and the road is starting to turn, I feel my right side getting light and air now whipping through driver's side window so I shut down due to a big loss of confidence. I watch as the apparently much more stable EVO runs away, I know he's loving that wing now.
He slows down and I catch up happy to give him another peace sign and plus a 1/3 vs S2K to take home.. He merges onto 285w on sphaghetti junction, I keep north slowing down to 65mph and pass a trooper perpindicular to traffic ready to go..but no lights-phew.
S2K driving notes: shift times are imperative, 8900-9000RPM shifts probably unnecessary, Valentine 1 where art thou..

Yes they do come with HID's and the S2K does need to have the adjust knob like the EVO. IMO the EVO feels way more stable than the S at those speeds, it feels like your going 80mph
We will definitely post our results when we run (me S2K...him EVO)
