He got on the freeway and happend to get in front of me. I got next to him and saw he was in his mid 30's which was good. That meant he would be willing to test the waters. It was Black and Beautiful. I really admire that car. This was in te beginning of rush hour so I knew I wouldn't be able to run at high speeds with him. I managed to get in front of him. I kept watching him and noticed he was getting closer to my back bumper and he was waiting for the traffic in the lane next to me to open up. I downshifted into 3rd and waited. Finally he had room to get over and I let him punch it first. I punched it and killed his momentum as his bumper got to my rear wheel. I continued to hold my breath as I waited to start pulling, but I never got a chance to shift. I had to let off the gas because of traffic. DAMN, I wanted to surprise the heck out of this guy but I didn't get a chance to. Once I shifted, it would have been bye bye, but oh well. That was my first encounter, and I hope not my last. I can't call it a win because I didn't get to put the exclamation point on it.

 

If your car really runs low 12's, you should have no problem with them M5 pal.

Hey BAD 97 WS6, I will be on hwy again this weekend, as well as going to some street races (read: legally sanctioned event). Let me know if you're up for meeting somewhere to chat cars. (or get video of you whipping my a$$... which i would be glad to post on this site along with other video i get this weekend)

I only ran from one gear from about 4500 rpm up to 6000. Then I let off the gas, but he sure wasn't gonna catch me, I just didn't have enough room to prove it. Besides, I run high 11's now for your information, I have N20
