Default fresh from a modded C5 run..

cruising midnight with the top down...i love these drives buy the way
anyway...i see this really cool looking C5 vette
it was a newer model, and was the roadster...he had the top down
had chrome stock wheels with a brake kit and triangle cut exhaust tips
we were both checking out each others rides as we were slowing down to a light
at about 40mph..the light turned green, and i shoved the gear into second and took off at about the same time as him
2nd gear is even!...third gear he is gaining....boy did it sound mean!! the exhaust was crackling all over
4th he had about 2 cars and was still pulling
so we stop at the other light and i told him how his car is sweet looking and sounding...he returns the favour
then he asks to race from a dig
i told him its not nessasery as the s2000 has a weak diffrential...he insisted as he has heard that s2ks are monsters from a dig and wanted to see
i agree, so we both sit there waiting for the lights...it turns green and i wasnt ready but dumped the clutch at 5k rpm and got a good launch after he took off
through first i was accually gaining untill i got to his bumper, then we shift 2nd...and he takes off, same as last time as he had me about 2 cars to 110mph
he chatted after the race, he said his was auto and he had a triflow exhaust and a CAI and other small goodies and he takes on stock vettes all the time, he was surprized with the results...he said he was expecting to pull much harder than that
all in all, was real fun and my little s2k didnt put me down

I had a modded Vette (exhaust, at least) rev on me today. I smiled and nodded. He drove off. The end.

I didn't see the point of racing him. That's like a stock Civic LX racing me. The outcome is already known. However, if I was boosted....

But, then I have to remind myself that street racing is bad.

I can't wait to race a vette at the strip. If I can get my times down around 12.7 or 12.8 consistently then I will be happy. Hopefully I can mod the m3 a little more and get to the 12.6 range.
