Friday night mischief
So Will (KstreetDC) and I went out to that weekly car meet over in Dulles by the Chick-fil-A last Friday night. His S was the only S2000 there until around 10:30pm when two more - MY05 Silverstone and a supercharged BB AP1 - pulled up with a lightly modded 350Z.
The guy with the '05 (forget his name) had just bought the car and had no mods to it. However, the guy with the BB AP1 (Alex), had done some major work to his car. S/C, complete Veilside kit, 7" monitor, i/h/e, and rims. The guy with the Z only had a CompTech exhaust and intake mods. Neither of the S owners knew about s2ki so Will and I talked about the forum and mentioned some of the things we do, wrote down the website for them, and went our separate ways.
On the way out, Will noticed that they were all heading the same way we were going. So Will gunned it to catch up with them. We were at the corner of Rte. 28 and Nokes Blvd, turning left onto 28-S towards Rte 50. The light turned green and Will raced off, but the 05 didn't realize we wanted to race. We stopped at another light on 28-S (which is a 3-lane road) with the 05 in the left lane, the Z in the middle lane, and Will and I in the right lane. Alex was in the left lane behind the 05. Will's revving while looking over at the Z and yelling over to the 05 that we're gonna race, so the 05 revs back. Light turns green, Will launches, dropping the clutch around ~4000rpm. Tires screech from his S and we're off. Shifting at ~7800rpm, Will takes the lead and by 3rd gear, has the 05 owned with the Z trailing by 1/2 a car length. Dropping into 4th gear, Will's got the Z trailing by a length. Going over 100mph and shifting into 5th gear, the race is all but won. Out of nowhere, Alex speeds by with his S/C whirling behind him.
We slowed down to let the other catch up and they all gave their props. Will killed it and they all knew it. We took the ramp to 50-E and exchanged goodbyes. Hopefully they'll sign up and post on the boards. Will and I went to a bar and retold the bartender what happened, but the kid could've cared less.
I've been in a few races before, and for a stock S, Will executed the launch and shifts flawlessly. Mad me sad that I sold mine!

Comptech exhaust on a Nissan? You 100% sure on that
Comptech only makes honda/acura parts. Unless there is some knock off out there with a similar name.
