Cruisin with my bro yesterday after I took my resonator off (great sound). I was going down the street by my house and this Volkswagon GlI pulls up and we start going at it around 30 roll. The whole time he was next to me I heard his turbo.. I started in second gear and by the time I hit third I was gone by about a 1 1/2 car length...nothing to brag about but it feels good to take one for the community.

 

VW on the stock turbo are not really much of a threat. ive race full bolt on a GIAC 1.8T and was able to pull on them pretty easily.

The MK4's with a stock turbo can have pretty much every bolt-on, and still only be about the same speed as a stock s2000. Maybe a tad quicker. But if the S has mods, it's game over for the MK4...Unless they have an upgraded turbo. Then things start getting interesting. But with only 210-230 front wheel hp (what they make fully bolted on) And weighing over 3000 lbs. Not that quick in my opinion. Maybe 14.2@100 or 13.9@102-103ish is about the best you'll see from stock turbo MK4's. Not to mention like a 2.3-2.4 60ft. And if you run one from a 1st gear roll....Race over before it even starts! With all that torque and hp in that car, they have basically no traction untill the end of 2nd and into 3rd. Take advantage of it.
