Goose(AP1) vs Mavrick(MR2)
This was on the way back from Cars & Coffee in MN. We did one pull from 55mph to 100mph. I was in the MR2 & my brother was in the S2. After 3 honks I pull half a car then it felt like I threw it in park. By the near end of 3rd he was about 5 cars ahead of me & pulling hard. I gave up mid of 4th gear. I thought I would have done better but ya never know til you try.

MR2 (3vzfe swapped) all stock.
S2 (AP2 Swapped) I/E & TP.

Around the streets the MR2 can par with the S2 but as soon as we hit the HWY that was a different story. I thought the MR2 would be able to hold the S2 for a bit because of the small road toying around.
The V6 swap in the MK1 MR2 is a totally different story.

Found the problem with the MR2. The intake was clogged & I have purchased a new intake. The car runs totally different now. It actually pulls harder & is more responsive than the S2. A new rematch is in the near future.
looking forward to the results of that rematch.
but hey Boost76 kinda funny because I was torn between those exact two cars. a s2000 or a mr2 n/a and swap for 3vzfe.
And well you seem to own both! which do you like better?
At first I was all for the mr2 w 3vz swap because of the torque and the MR platform and the exclusiveness of an mr2. But the more and more work you have to do to an almost 20 year old car, the more the s2000 seems like the better choice. Also the 3vz seems to be limited in modding potential if you are staying n/a.

^ I had the same issue. I didn't know which to buy so I bought both. hahaha... To tell you the truth I actually enjoy the MR2 more. Can't beat that V6 growl & torque. Of course for track driving I'd take the S2 any day. S2 is more stable & feels a bit more nimble while the MR2 is a lot more comfy & more practical for every day use. The MR2 has more low end power & the S2 has more high end power. What I noticed is that the MR2 can achieve lower offsets than the S2 & I love deep wheels. Both are pretty Top Gun to me. =)
