Default Got beat by a GS-R turbo.

Well, I went to the street races and it turned out no one was there. The people that I went
with (friend's friends) with a Integra GS-R turbo (Greddy turbo kit @ 8-9psi, intercooler kit, with MSD ignition, Greddy exahsut, Hondata system..etc.) wanted to race my STOCK s2000. I'm like okay, just for fun, we'll see it how it turns out.

1st run, bogged off the launch at 3k and panic and mis-shifted 2nd. i dunno why, i do 14.1-14.2s
at the track all day. i guess i was nervous or my friend didn't know how to flag us.

2nd run, launch at 5k, 1st gear is about even but he pulls away from 2nd, a little more by 3rd,
the street was a closed street and was short so i didn't get to 4th gear but by the end of 3rd, he was about 1-2 cars length a head of me Oh well, that was the end of the race. I didn't want to try no more knowning the fact that my S2000 IS slower in straight line.

I felt like shit after I got beat. I need a turbo.........not...

you know better, it's a GSR Turbo

Anyways, vtecvoodoo told me of his friend's GSR turbo with 270-280 fwhp that got beat by a E30 M3 with a E36 Motor with a SC and nitrous... Just random story I had to share.

If he had the full drag set up from Hondata, he may have got you because of shifting. I think if they have the stage III or higher set-up, you can make it hold your RPM's for you while you shift. For example, at the start have your car floored, Hondata will hold your RPM's at the desired number, then dump clutch, when you put in the clutch for the 1-2 shift you can keep your car floored and shift, Hondata will hold the RPM's at what you need for 2nd gear and dump the clutch, and so on. IMO this maybe good for some time off your ET.

I know the Hondata system does that. (drag shifting set up)
It doesn't matter if he's done the highest stage Hondata or not, I think he is just making more power than I am or his power to weight ratio is better than mine. OH wellz.

The S2k is really not that fast straightline, but I am sure if you raced him on a track with corners and twisties, there would be a different outcome...

The Integra's a pretty damn nimble car for FWD and also lighter. OneQuickS2k does have a Type R, so I'm sure he knows this.

Stock no, some mods on it, like susp, tires wheels, yes. I have been in a older SI that had a 1.36G on the skid path, it was unbelievable, and have a friend with a Type R, n/a, 250whp, ended up with 15k just in motor (blew 2of them geting it right), and has the susp gone over as much as motor, and by all means he has a higher skid path then the S.

Stock vs. Stock. The Type-R will not out handle the S2000.
With suspension mods on the Type-R, it'll easily out handle the
S2000. But then again, you can always mod the suspension on the S2000. So this never ends. It all depends on what suspension/brake mods you have when it comes to road race.
I'm sure I'll take him on a road course though. His turbo will overheat after a couple of runs....heh..

As for racing a NSX, I actually raced a older gen NSX and beat
the NSX by almost one car (my door is at his front bumper by 4th gear), this was a dead stop street race on a closed road. But then, that was the older gen NSX and by the way I see that night, he is not a pretty good driver.
