Got SPANKED tonight by a modded Viper!
ok so this one isn't a shocker but it was impressive as hell!
rolling through traffic on a 4 lane, whoa, theres a nice blue viper with different exhaust and some nice graphics, oh darn, I see a head of gray hair in the drivers seat and figure it's a typical Florida old guy in a sports car, then he downshifts and launches out free of traffic. I'm like cool! he WILL use the car! so I get through traffic roll up next to him and rev a couple of times at about 60, he down shifted just a little before I dropped into 3rd, by the time I shifted 4th, he had me by about 4-5 cars then we both shut down. That car was FAST!
Then I saw a little logo on the back when he turned off, looked like it said Hennessey on it. That would explain the whine I heard when he took off!
I think I got my butt kicked by a Viper Venom!
Well worth losing just to watch that mother run.

go for the turbo....you're in the Florida area
I was just happy to see someone actually drive a viper hard. Down here I see them pretty often but usually like most expensive cars here, they're probably never seen the high side of 80mph, just driven for status.
I didn't mind losing and fully expected to get whupped up on, but it sure was fun to see that thing launch at 60!

yeah, I'd take that viper out, as long as 1 of my pistons hit him in the radiator when I grenade
Current engine mods on my car are just HKS exhaust, Denso plugs and a custom CAI.
I'm looking forward to seeing some concrete info on the new vortech SC kit before I get too deep into forced induction, that and for the last half of my warranty to run out.
