I was on I-87 yesterday when a black regular wrx (not an STI) came flying up my ass. We pulled next to eachother at about 80 mph then we went at about the same time, actually i think i cheated a little just so I could win...BUT, he whooped my ass really bad, 5-6 cars. I pulled up on his drivers side and the only thing I noticed was he had a bunch a guages on his piller. It def was not an StI but it sure ran like one

 

maybe it was a sleeper STi...small hood scoop and wingless...we do that sometimes to keep ourselves under the radar

 

Mostly like had MAD boost...or mods. Thats a big gap for a stock WRX to put on an S2000 from a roll. I have destroyed numerous stock WRX's even some with minor mods.

 

I'd a expect a bigger turbo upgrade... but this is very unlikely on a WRX because the stock transmission cannot hold that much power... so like someone else said most likely a sleeper STi

 

Pure and utter bs.

I had a modded WRX and yes they have some tranny problems, but the stock tranny can handle 350+hp. I know from experience.

 

Definitley heavily modded to pull 5-6 cars on you. Unless you started out in 5th gear or something. Maybe he was spraying. Ive also pulled hard on stock WRX's when I was stock.

 

I am stock and it definitly surprised me a lot when he jumped out to a lead like that, i was in 4th gear at about 6000-6500 rpm's, that is about as fast as my car is getting

 

def not a stock WRX. 5-6 cars is a whoopin espescially from a roll. I've easily walked WRX's/SRT-4's from a roll. Could've been an STI, BUT the STI owners that I've met are so Vain and usually Like people to know that they have an STI and not just the stock WRX.

Not stock as stated a half dozen times above. No way no how. I have a friend with a WRX. All he has is an intake. Granted, I think he sucks at driving, but I've walked him from a launch in first gear all the way on up to 100+. We've went at it from a stand still and from roll-ons, all with the same outcome. Me kicking his ass. From 70-100+, I've pulled 2-3 car lengths on him.
