Default Got worked by Evo 8

60mph.

My mods:
SAI
Megan single exhaust
Top down
Bike rack with Trek bike (yeah!!)

His mods:
No idea, stock exhaust but I could here him spooling from a mile away, could not hear his car over my intake and exhaust so I couldn't tell for sure if he had mods. But I don't think stock evo 8's spool that loud.

Anyways I think I'm in 3rd gear just below vtec, at about 6000 rpms. Not sure if he was messing with me but as soon as we took off we were even and he was barely pulling, then all the sudden I shift into fourth and he's gone, about 3 car lengths when we shutdown at about 113.

We exchange thumbs up, and he said "not bad, pretty fast!" I'm like "it's the damn bike!".

I'm sure if the top was up and I didn't have a bike on the back he wouldn't have worked me so bad.

First of all, unless you have serious NA mods, forced induction, or the Evo is bone stock, an Evo will walk an S every time. They're fast as hell from a dig because of AWD. They're fast on the highway because they can take full advantage of their turbo. If you don't like getting embarassed, don't f$%& with Evos. A friend of mine has an Evo 8 that put down 11.610 with stock turbo and street tires. Just bolt-ons can produce a low 12-second car. Evos are just plain stupid fast. I have I/TP/E/cams plus 160 pounds of weight reduction and a stock evo is with me from 40-150. I only pull a length on Sti's from a 40 roll.

wtf are you talking about, evo 8's or 9's? they are to completely different animals in stock form..... so you can barely edge out a stock evo8? but put a good length plus on STI's?

STi's vs evo8's in stock form, (yes even 05 evo8's) the STi will pull from any speed.

to the OP racing from a roll to that high of speed with the top down and a bike? thats a no-no

if your BPU + wieght reduction and you cant pull on a 8 your car is sick. im stock rite now except a gutted air box/TP/gutted exhaust and i can easily hang with my buddy's 8 from any kinda roll. when i was BPU i could leave him behind.

I thought this guy tooofast was selling the S and getting a Repsol 1000RR . Toda cams dont gain anything anyways.

By the way Version. I saw you were looking for an Emanage Ultimate. I see them on ebay going for around 425-450. Are you going to keep the Ap1?
