Was not in the s2000, in the carrera 4. Pretty short encounter, I had to make a right turn about mid 2nd gear. But he was pulling pretty hard and had half a car.

I don't really have an excuse, but the car had trouble with traction. I had forgotten to turn off traction control, so it kicked in and you can feel it cut power back. But I think the outcome would have been the same judging by how hard he was pulling in 2nd.

*sigh* evo's.....

 

Sell the S2K and buy mods, or leave the EVO's alone...lol.

 

first off you have a porshe AND an S. I would take either of those with out hesitating over the Evo. Evos are great cars handle well and you can make so much power and the mods are endless. BUT they are a dime a dozen and are turbod. If your S or Porshe were turbo'd if would be a whole different story : )

I'd be careful with those Evos. An intake, turbo back exhaust, fuel pump and reflash and they run 12s.

carrera 4 is the slowest carrera made from a roll. Thats S territory right there. Mod it up!

 

Sorry, but when I was in my Evo and ran a Carrera or Boxster etc I was NOT jealous they had a Porsche and I had an Evo. Now if it was 996 Turbo ok yeah, id be like damn wish I had that car, but not really any other Porsche (besides the Carrera GT) Im not knocking the Porsche either they are one of my favorite cars, and maybe sometime down the road i'll get a 996.

It only takes a couple mods to get the IX in the 12's, my buddy with a TBE and reflash was running 12.7

 

when i had my Evo with tbe boost controller and flash i had no troubles with most 996 Porsches under 100mph...a typical Evo 9 with my mods makes around 330whp and runs through the 1/4 at 110mph-ish

 

i totally agree with him... STI`s and Evo`s are nasty... But s2k`s and Carrera`s look so much better!
