grudge match this weekend
I'm about to get into a little grudge match for some money (100-200 dollars..) we will be running in low to mid 40s weather condition so I know I wont have that much grip. I'm running 265 star specs.. pretty worn. IDK if i will be able to get some heat in the tires by doing a burnout or not.. But I would just like some advice on tire pressures, technique and suspension settings. I'm running KW V3 coils btw currently on the stiffer end of both rebound/compression settings.. So here is what I am planning on doing and would like some feedback.
1. lower rear pressure to 26 psi
2. raise front pressure to 40 psi
3. soften up rear compression settings 7-8 clicks
4. bring rpm to 5k and release clutch quickly.
should this give me a bit of an edge? What else can i do? My titanium exhaust broke so I'm stuck driving around with this heavy ass stock exhaust for now.. I was thinking about removing it and running open header for the run.. (i have a TP)
getting pretty stoked and its worth changing some things on the car since some money is at stake. hahaha lmk what you guys think

I've seen NA neons run 14s at the track. hahaha unsure what was done to them. This was before the SRT4 edition. If its a POS like you said then he would still lose. I had a buddy with 50 shot wet with a 95 civic EX run 15et. in the 1/4 mile. Unless you got a lemon for an s2000 you should at least be able to do 14s without any effort.
"Sticky tires" don't exist in this temperature range unless you run a few laps on the track or heat treat them before hand. I'm on Pilot Sport Cups and nothing in this temperature heats them up long enough to gain traction. I suppose use it to your advantage.
