i was on the freeway coming back from Lafayette, and i came across a white and blue gt500 but this time i was in my civic not the S

i seen him coming up fairly quick, he passed but i was rolling on the throttle, eventually i was pacing him, i looked at him, he hit it and so did i, he started to pull, but i was reeling him in, shifted to 4th, he was pulling by about 2 cars, shifted to 5th, he was gone

i ended up stopping to put gas at the same place he did, we started talking and he was surprised how well i kept up, he was a nice guy, but i could see he was sort of distraught


see not all mustang owners are assholes

 

What mods do you have in your civic? Is it faster than your S?

 

built d16z6, gt3582r turbo, s300 w/WOT shift, tuned at 283 whp at 12 psi, a little lightening

 

I am always amazed at the #s that the d16 with boost makes

 

why a 600hp turbo for only 280hp? Car would be significantly faster if you slapped on a proper size turbo. Get a 28rs, or even a 2871.

 

i had a gt28rs on it, but i recently had to replace the head, i figured if i'm spooling a little later it would be safer for the engine so i bought the 35, which i think was a mistake, at 5000 it's just reaching 12 and i shift at 6500

 

^^ Yeah i'd say you want a fatter powerband than 1500 rpms lol.

You probably would have pulled on him if you were spooling to 12 at like 4k

 

Would have been totally different with a B16 under the hood with the same mods. Nice run though

 

I walked all over a GT 500 in my S im only @ around 328hp too!
