H22 hatch around 2400lbs unmodded. S2000 - 200lbs = 2600lbs. unless the h22 is modded, I can't see him making up for 60+ hp + gears

nice...if you get a good launch off, you should take the win..if you dont and just burn the tires, then he'll burn you off the line and you wont have enough to close the gap...post up a vid after it goes down

if you didn't have gears, you'd have a much harder time against that hatch.

passenger seat etc.=passenger seat as well as other things that, in total, equate to approx. 200 lbs.

Yeah... I was also wondering... what exactly (if you don't mind listing) did you take out or replace with lighter material from the S2K that made you save up to 200 lbs?

h22 hatches are notorious for having real struggles in getting the power to the ground, 'too' much torque unless they get wide tires/wheels. A guy who used to race at baytown a lot with us had full bolt-ons on his h22a in his 98 hatch and a solid tune and couldn't break into the 13's on street tires for his life. He heated up some drag radials off a teg and hit a 13.1 on his first try.
