I drive a little faster than the speed limit but never doing stupidities and everytime I spot a cop I slowly lift off until Im about 5mph over the limit and drive on until he goes his way then I push a little more to where I usually drive around 15 over but thats just my style. Ive only being pulled over for speeding once and didnt get the ticket. I came out of traffic and I was in a little hurry and I vtec'ed second gear and as I shifted to third and reached almost 80 MPH in a 40 MPH he had his disco lights on right behind me . I took a shit but he let me go cuz he noticed my driving record and that my car had a paper tag and told me to enjoy the car but to be very careful and complemented my car. Cool guy!

To stay off the gas I think about the ticket I won't be able to pay.

i always drive slow unless there is some else driving faster and makes it interesting to play around a bit, not talkin about a kid in a buick doing 90. Just drive with the thought that you know how much power is behing that pedal and at any moment you can unleash it, but be a snake calmly waiting for its pray other than a rabbit runnin around looking for food.

i've street-raced in my S once late last year. it was shortly after i got it, which was potential for disaster as it was my first rwd vehicle. luckily i came out ok. it gave me a huge rush, but when i think about how much i have to lose it isn't worth it.

as my driving improved since then, i have the "straight lines are for boys, corners are for men" mentality. any numbnut can mash the gas and shift gears (there's a little more to it than that, but not much more), and also the outcome relies more on the machine. managing all the variables correctly to execute a smooth fast corner gives me waaay more satisfaction.

so when i get tailed by some ass and they happen to turn with you, just leave em in the dust around the bend

If I feel the need for speed, I just find the nearest Autobahn and let 'er rip. After awhile, a look at the gas gauge is enough to calm down
