(Sorry for the detailed post) I was going home one night down this 4 lane road with speed limit of 45mph. I suddenly found myself waiting at a red light with this dude in his Ford Escape looking over and revving on me. I found this to be extremely hilarious. On the other hand, I noticed from the revving that his Ford Escape was FI. Why FI a Ford Escape? I don't know.

As the light turn green, I took off as usuall without the intention to race...but the dude, gave it all his might. Still not a whole lot faster than me. For one, its a Ford Escape. It doesn't prove anything even if I win. Anyways, I accelerated up to 49mph and then just cruised from there(4mph over the speed limit - normal traveling speed for me). This guy was going about...I'm guessing 15mph faster than I am, and on his own way still doing that speed. Whatever....wasn't paying him too much of attention.

About 10 secs later, I saw this bright HID behind me that was gaining on me at an abnormal speed. It was coming up fast. Well, I was gonna have none of it after the Ford Escape. And besides, this car doesn't look like another small SUV. I got my speed up a little, ...but of course, the car passed me because of the speed that he's already on. Even though, it was a speed and distance that was managable for me to catch with my FI AP1. The car was a late model Mustang with exhaust work and oh yea....racing stripes . I don't know if it was a GT or not, since I'm no expert on Mustangs. After a few seconds, I was gaining on him considerably. He was flooring the crap out of this car. When I got until 6-7 car lengths behind him, a red and blue light went on. Crap, police car. Looked behind me....no car behind me. WTF?? Looked ahead, CRAP!!! it was the mustang, an unmarked police car. Guess what?...he pulled over the Ford Escape. I slowly went around them, and then saw him pointing at me as I passed. I just smile back, took a deep breathe and went on my way. I was thinking to myself, was that finger pointing from the mustang mean...Your the Man, or something else. Well, I will never know.

 

I think him pointing at you means he wanted you to pull over too.

 

no, it meant "if you were driving one of those, I wouldn't have pulled you over!"

Officer- you were rev'ving at a guy at the light earlier and took off when the lights turned green, also not to mention you weren't doing the limits.

Him- Rev'ving at who?


Officer- (as you're about to pass by) That guy right there (as he's pointing at you).
