kill, kill, kill, kill.... did i mention, um, KILL?
Well, it is an all motor hatch. He has every possible thing done to that car, short of turbo/supercharger/nos. I have also since become friends with the guy and go to street races with him. And I know quite a bit about engines (enough to recognize a turbo or nos or supercharger) and have extensively studied his. It is an all motor hatch. And I have gone to tracks with him and he runs in the all motor events (though I have personally only seen him get a 12.1 1/4 mile)
I've got a friend who manages at a mitsubishi dealer. I'm going to try to get some numbers from him on the VR4 or better yet, take one to the track sometime. In the meantime, does anyone know the official 1/4 mile time for a VR4 per car and driver, road and track, etc. Or some other automobile info source??
Alright, well first off, I apologize about the 2000 VR4, of course 1999, with the big battle spoiler. I forgot that 99 was the last year. Which was a dumb move as it is, because I think mitsu should have kept that car in it's line. It was a nice car! So, me and my friend went to the mitsubishi dealer, and he grabbed a 98 VR4 they had on the lot. We took a little trip on his lunch break and went for it. He beat me once. I beat him once. Both times to about 100mph. We would have made a 3rd run, but some old hag came out of her "hair cutting" business and told us to leave and blah blah and racing is bad, blah blah. Soooo, I have seen the VR4 rated at 13.4 1/4 mile, and the S2000 at 13.7 1/4 mile. I think it's safe to say it will be the driver who decides the race??
Nice Kill.
But it's not safe to say it's in close competition in straight line. Vr-4 is in close range of C5. By the way, on the twisty roads, S2000 has advantage. ^^
Properly driven 94-99 VR-4 would take properly driven S2000 8 out 10 races.
A skillful S2000 driver's would do low 14's on a good day. My best time was 14.2(track) in stock form(13.7 G-Tech with all the modifications) I respect Sev having done 13.8 in stock. I have seen many S2000s doing mid to high 14's on the track, though.
Just intake, exhuast, and boost controller(12.8-13.1), VR-4 is gonna walk away from S2000 with intake and exhaust.
Powersound
Don't be mad. We all know how capble of VR-4 is. lucky and driver...
gotta Blame Vr-4 driver.

Maybe you misunderstood me. Ahem. It was STOCK S2000 vs STOCK VR-4. NOT, s2000 with intake, exhaust vs VR-4 with intake, exhaust, and boost controller. Most of the VR-4's that are stock around here I've seen run high 13's low 14's at the track. My whole point I'm trying to make is isn't it possible that these two cars are closely matched enough that it will come down to driver and reaction time?
