From old posts as this has been discussed in Auto x threads etc; the best would be to Launch at 6k right at Vtec this would put less strain on the drive train as the pressure would only be for a split second.

only 10K ?? seriously? I launch at like 11111111K rpms.
I think it depends on the traction conditions. If its slightly rainy/wet tarmac, its best to launch it under 6K cuz if you dont, you will spin forever.
If its nice and dry and warm, then yeah, you want it sort of high to spin the tires in VTEC. If it bogs down, not only is it bad for your diff, its also gonna make you super ass slow.
Oh, it also depends on the tires youre running too..if you have sticky tires you might wanna rev it up/if you have shitty tires you might want to lower it..
