Default launching problems

hey guys sorry i havent posted in a while. anyways i was out today doing some timed 0-60 runs with one of my friends gps things. my mods are password jdm intake,70mm testpipe and a greddy ti-c catback. i couldnt get it under 6 seconds no matter what i did. i had brigestones on my car before and they had grip for days, but i switched to cheaper sumitomos and i literally spun all the way trough 1st while it was dry my coils are pretty stiff but not to bad. any tips to help me improve it? i just dumped the clutch at about 5k.

spinning is not bad, but you need the tires to catch around the start of vtec for best result.

with any factory size tire if your spinning and hit vtec in 1st your not gonna get your traction back. When your dumping your clutch are you jumping on the throttle? do you know how to feather the pedal?

What are your rear tire pressures? You would be surprised how much more straight line grip you have if you lower your pressure to ~25 PSI.

Under 500 miles on new tires have factory coating. Slippery. Get better tires.
