First, never heard of a MS miata.

Second, sure you're kidding but with the amount of aftermarket parts for those things I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often

 

MS Miata I would believe he meant for a mazdaspeed miata aka turbo charged from the factory. They are not very fast even turbo'd though. Maybe upgraded turbo or something possibly.

Mazdaspeed Miata + Exhaust + Tune = faster than a stock/bolted S2000.

My uncles MSM with downpipe, intake, and boost control is probably faster down low than my S2000.

 

Just from the visual it was modified quite a bit, I'm almost wondering if he had N20 in that thing. It wasn't doing anything spectacular and just took off out of no where.

 

There are plenty of turbo kits out there for the Miata. Very easy to get 200-220whp out of a Miata. Plus they weigh a good 200-300lb less than an s2k. That equals a really quick car that will easily walk away from a non-FI s2k.
