Default lost to an rsx

so last time i raced my friend wasent even worth continuing on 3rd. but after a few months he got some new goodies. has an 03 rsx s. injen cai,dc race header, skunk2 exhaust, now also has es motor mounts, kpro , ITR intake manifold, ITR cams and valvetrain, and jdm final drive. My mods are in my sig but i need tires. i have crappy hankooks with not much meat in the back.
so we went to the spot, nice long lonely road. i havent drag raced in a while so did a quick practice launch. we decided to do 2 from a stop and 2 from a roll. so we line up i launch at 5.5k. bad traction. i get ahead but by the end of 2nd his front bumper is at my front wheels. he kept pulling. at the end he was about a length ahead. 2nd time i launched at 5k. try to get abit more traction. this time he happend to launch very well. got me by about 2 cars.
on the freeway same story but by abit more. just kept pulling. pulling slowly but still beat me. now ima be hearing it till i beat him again. once i get tires im pretty sure i'll be side by side from a stop atleast. i should be getting an exhaust at the end of the month too, so im hoping that i could take him after that.

gatta give it to him though the car is much faster.

i really wanna take my car to the track to see what i can do with it. from what ive read an rsx with those mods can do 13.7s.

Yeah, at least 13.7. And he'd trap higher then an S2k doing that same 13.7 because of the FWD/RWD launches.

Doesn't sound like a bad run. He's got quite a few bolt-ons, that do very well for his car. Maybe get some tires though.

Good runs, those engines adapt well to bolt-on like that. I wouldn't sweat losing though, at the end of the day you have the S, he has the RSX

Its so easy and cheap to make those cars quick, exhaust, race header, intake and k-pro and you have a car thats relatively quick.

Not necissarily cheap... I am sure he has about the same amount of money into it as someone would have with an s2k going with a Greddy turbo kit...
