About 15 minutes ago I was driving down Santa Monica Blvd. in West LA looking for food, and a black E36 M3 hardtop decides to show off in front of me, cutting through traffic and trying to make his way ahead of me. Game on. This goes on for several blocks, and finally we get ourselves lined up at a red. There's no traffic in front of us, but I start to worry about cops, as this is not a quiet street. I've got my top down and the cover off of my airbox.
Cross traffic light turns yellow, I rev up to 65. Light hits green and I nail a perfect launch, and the M3 is several car lengths back by the end of 1st gear. He must've given up pretty early on, I kept going through half of 2nd and he was still losing ground steadily. The light coming up turns red. We come to a stop and he revs a couple of times. Cross traffic light hits yellow, I rev up to 65, and nail another perfect launch, and put him a buslength or two behind by the end of 2nd. Again, I'm assuming he gave up after my launch, as M3s are *not* that much slower than our cars. I continued to coast at 45 mph, upshifted to 3rd, and waited. He started to approach directly behind me, and sharply changed lanes and gunned it at the same time, trying to get the jump on me. Don't think so, buddy. I downshifted to 2nd and floored it, and he never stood a chance. I'm not exactly sure how many car lengths I put on him before I shut down, but it was pretty brutal. I had enough of this, I'm in enough hot water with the DMV already and I don't need a speed contest ticket. I gave him a thumbs up, and turned right onto a small street to go back home and find something to eat.
First M3 kill, woo!

Nice one.
The M3 is almost the same in comparison to a stock s2k if not a touch quicker. didn't seem like he was really bothered, otherwise it wouild have been a different outcome.

Did anyone see that video where Eclipse driver was trying to get a C4 corvette to race on a highway?
When Eclipse accelerated ever so slowly away from C4, guys in C4 were just laughing while driving normally. And the driver in Eclipse was saying how he was beating it (taped inside of eclipse). I thought that was way too funny.

E36 M3's are pretty close to the S2000, but are slightly slower when each car is driven to it's fullest potential... If you were pulling buslengths, it was because of your driving ability...
