some of you may know about the new 4th gen eclipses. i am one of the few that like them. that have a great motor and many awesome standard features, like a kick ass system, and the sound like teh sex with exhuast(V6) no joke. from aroun the corner you would have guessed NSX with pipes or maybe even M3 with borlas. point being you have to aleast give them that.

so anyway a local customer of mine just picked up his GT today, he had WORKS catback exhaust installed and he has some other mods, not sure what they are. his car move pretty decent. i have seen him pimp slap some modded local accord v6's and even a 2nd gen GST. his last trip down the 1/4 was 13.86@101. yea it looks different, but it also maybe the next sleeper. people think, its ugly, but it boogies pretty decent if you ask me.

so we get to talking afterwork and he says he want to run the s2 just for shits and giggles. ok.

we go from a dig first, i love this guy, hes old school and would race a F16 from a dig because "thats how men race!" so we go after it from a lite. i launch at 5500, and out of the hole i am bearly pulling him, but by the top of 3rd i have 4 cars on him.

second race from 25mph. i hang in first and so does he. we hit and he pulls through 1st and half of second. on the shift to 3rd i walk on by and put the same 4 cars or so.

third from 65 or so. we stay even through 3rd and in fourth i pull and put about 2 cars by 110.

laugh all you want, but if a s2 got caugh off quard hes got enough get to make sure you see "ECLIPSE" long enough to know you got pulled by the pig.


i had a blast racing him, and honestly hes IS FASTER THAN THE LAST BOXSTER I RACED. i would pay money to watch that race. "oh whats that, uh ya dude, you got smoked by a eclipse!"

he says my car is the best sounding 4 banger on earth! thanks to spoon(not for long!)

Exterior: amuse front lip, lancer evolution radio antenna

Wheels/suspension: ASA AR1

 

Nice kill/story. I'm suprised that you say the car sounds as good as an M3 with exhaust! I definitely have to hear one of these in person. BTW, what the hell does an EVO antenna look like?

 

i know, they first time i heard one with pipes i couldnt believe it! they must have a different firing order or something.

it looks alot like a 350z antenna.

 

So you beat a driver car combination that gets 13.8 in the 1/4 by 3 or 4 cars by the top of third even though you were more or less even out of the whole

Unless you car runs 13 flat or less this is or your account is over embellished.

 

maybe i got a little excited on the 3-4 cars. point being that i was able to pull a decent amount on him.

and my last 1/4 trip was 13.68@102.7. it was gtech'd but non-the less i thinks it fair to say i am faster than the average bolt s2.

and the 13.8 is from this guys mouth, so. i just put that in there for reference, meaning he car is damn quick for a 4th gen.

I thought you got carried away a little bit No doubt your car is fast. I'd like to run it against my 05 with TBE and flash from a roll (I ran a 12.9 @ 106).

Seems like you should be able to give dave (S2000vegas) a good run with your mods.

If only we had some sort of star trek car transporters
