Okay, first off, I got a rematchh with the camaro SS I lost to when I had the top down. This time I put the top up for a rematch.

This time, we went, and stayed dead even (i pulled on him just a bit at the start). We went to about 100mph and were dead even.

I also raced a grand prix GTP (supercharged). He hung ok.... but did a lot better than I thought. By 90mph I probably had 6 or 7 lengths? I don't remember. I got it on video though. But I was impressed with how quick it was.

Ok, so onto the cop. so me and 3 of my friends are leaving and are a ways away from the street racing scene. However, a cop pulls me over... don't know how long he was behind me.

First, he waits 10 damn minutes before he even gets out of the car...??? ok. So then he walks up to the car and shines his light in my face. here's the conversation.... (this is not word for word, but best I can remember... with slight changes to reflect his pissy attitude)

Cop: I'm officer GOD from milwaukee police dept. I pulled you over for no front plate.
Me: Ok, didn't realize I needed one. (lie)
Cop: Yeah, you have to have one. So what are you out here for tonight?
Me: Looking for a party (another lie)
Cop: Looking for a party? I bet you are looking for a party. A street party.
Me: No, we met some girl who said she was having a party out here... she said look for the cars and music. (all lies... i know im going to hell)
Cop: Well, we tow away cars and impound them for doing that.
Me: For going to a party? Man you guys really don't like fun do you?
Cop: I mean for racing on my streets (your streets? tax payers own them... not you)
Me: Ok, well then you go catch those guys racing, while I go to my party.
Cop: So how am I suppose to verify your story?
Me: Verify? there's nothing to verify. I wasn't doing anything illegal, and I wasn't speeding, and you just pulled me over. there's nothing to verify.
Cop: Wait here.

So he goes back to his car for a 20 minute freaky session with his partner.

Finally comes back up and asks me to step out of the car.

Cop: I'm giving you a ticket for no front plate.
Me: Ok. (ass)
Cop: Look, I know what you were doing out here... blah blah... all you damn kids in your little hondas...
Me: Little honda? This car costs more than you probably make in a year.
Cop: Oh? So what do you do to afford it?
Me: I'm a network administrator for a fortune 500 company. I'm almost 23 years old, I work damn hard for my money, and you could give me some respect.
Cop: I don't respect someone with a healthy driving record.
Me: Really? Oh, so I got a couple speeding tickets when I was a kid. If you noticed... I haven't been pulled over in more than 3 years.
Cop: Well we have a hot call, so wait til we leave so we don't hit you on the way out.

So the cops peel out and I go home.

ass.

Some cops are A...... no doubt. They always seem to waste people's time. "Come on, just give me the damn ticket and let me go......." Also, the more you talk back, the more time they like to waste you. My advice: just keep the response short, like yes, no, ok etc......... Never say anything to piss them off, just let them say whatever they want.

Unless your S2K is heavily modded, it shouldn't cost more than what a cop makes in a year. In Bay Area, CA, I think they start with $52,000 -$60,000 a year.

When your nice, and respectable to police officers they give you the same respect back, yeah you maybe earn your money to own your beautiful s2k, but no one makes enough money to be able to treat cops like shit, he is just doing his job, alot of people die street racing, and these guys are out there just doing what they are supposed to(dont get me wrong, i love street racing).....

the moral of the story is, dont give them shit, it will help you out much better... ive been pulled over a few times in the last year, all of which warranted a ticket, but not once did i walk away with the ticket, congeniality can go along way, as well as showing a little remorse if you know you did something wrong, would you be sarcastic if he showed up while someone was robbing your car ? didnt think so..

just think about it.

There are times to be respectful of cops and times not to be. Coming within inches of being killed by a cop when he pulls you over, for instance, is not one of them. Being pulled over for doing 80 in a 55 zone is

Basically, cops are just people with power, but we expect them to be "better" than the average person and not let that power, or all the crap they have to see/deal with, get to them. It's a crappy deal for the cops and the public...one that I'm surprised no one pays much attention to fixing now that I think about it.

Why is that?

This topic will never be settled. Some people wanna make out with every officer they see and some hate their guts. I've met 1 or 2 good cops and literally 100's that weren't worth the laces in their shoes. Take that for what it's worth.

Actually I have a LOT of respect for cops. I treat all police officers with courtesy and respect. HOWEVER, this cop IMMEDIATELY came off as captain dick. I mean, he treated me like some punk who just was out doing drugs or something. He gave me NO respect, so I gave him nothing.

I cut out the first parts of the conversation. The first questions he actually asked were things that were none of his business, and he just was condescending the whole time. Asking me where I work, how much I make to afford this car, etc. He was asking the questions like an asshole, and just trying to give me sh*t from the get-go. That's why I gave him the attitude back.

I know he probably makes more than the car costs, but I was pissed and insulted him on purpose. He gave me no respect, talked to me like a 16 year old kid, and basically said I'm a punk in a little honda and I shouldn't be driving that car.

I have never given a cop attitude when they pull me over. Ever. This guy was just the biggest asshole from the start, like he owns me or something.

well you were street racing, you knew it, he knew it, but he didnt have proof, so he was just being a dick i guess, that sucks, but it happens, its best to even be nice even when they are being rude, not losing your cool and using jackass comments only make you look like the 16 year old kid he wants to be arguing with, sometimes not fighting back verbally is the best way to fight back, that pisses people off more than anything.

Yeah, you are right. I probably just should have been honest, but my better judgement was elsewhere at the time. I guess I shouldn't have been an ass, but I guess he caught me at a bad time.
