me vs Ford Lighting
I was ordering BK and was bringing home some food for the gf. 2 chicken sandwiches, 2 whopper jr's, Large onion ring, and an apple pie. Out of no where a Ford Lighting comes up behind me and rev's his engine, not once, not twice, but like 7 times. I just felt like getting away from this guy so I left BK and hit a red light. And what do you know, he comes flying up next to me. I was like w/e as i'm chewing on an onion ring. Took off slowly up to 60 in 3rd v-tec is set at 5500, Got next to him and took off. I could see in my side mirror that he was creeping up VERY slowly until his car shifted gears, then I stopped his pull and he just gave up at the end of 4th. Thats the most fun time with me being sick the past few days

.My G35 with just a CAI use to duke it out pretty nicely with my buddies 2003 Lightning which had his ECU chipped. Kinda just like you described. Their gears are very long, and once they shift out of 2nd (like 70-80mph I think) there was a noticeable drop off in in pick up. I would usually start to inch on him around there.
